FORTHCOMING # Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry, a film by Alison Klayman

29 06 2012

Release Date for France is 21 Novembre 2012
Check for your country HERE at imdb

I just checked the trailer. I confess i watched it 3 or 4 times.
I’m not gonna expose my position about China. I better not.
And even if my position is shared by a lot of people, i just feel sorry right now for all the people, that dont have reputation and public aura Ai Weiwei has.
How many Ai Weiwei inside chinese jails, how many executed already…This brings tons of tears into my eyes. And it’s really difficult to keep my calm everytime
i read fucked up news about this country and the way it treats his own people….without talking about all “minorities” in Mongolia, Tibet or Kirghizistan, didnt born Hans
and just considered as “monkeys” as Black people foreigners workers or students…Yeah thats how they call you: Monkey.
I remember the demonstration Chinese students did in Paris the day the Dalai-Lama was here. They screamed in our streets: France can not interfer into Chinese policy.
We can.
And if you’re not happy about us being pro-Free Tibet then you still can go back and demonstrate in your own country.
Let’s see what answer you’ll get from your police department, oh yeah it was allowed to burn French and Tibetan flags at that time.
But we didnt let your Olympic Flame run freely in our streets. Remember.
How much blind are you now…How propaganda can work so well…

Go Watch this movie_Bring someone that never heard about Ai Weiwei, what about a rich chinese student

WATCH # Le Mausolée, an Art Film by Sowat, Starring Lek

30 04 2012

On August 12, 2010, Lek and Sowat found an abandoned supermarket in the north of Paris. For a year, in the greatest of secrets,
both artists continuously wandered in this 430,000 sq ft monument to paint murals and organize an illegal artistic residency, inviting forty French graffiti artists to collaborate,
from the first to the last generation of the graffiti movement. Together they built a Mausoleum,
a temple dedicated to their disappearing underground culture, slowly being replaced by street art and its global pop aesthetics.

PRE-ORDER # Ma Ligne, a Book by FUZI [U.V-TPK]

28 02 2011

The train line Paris St Lazare – Mantes La Jolie runs from the western suburbs into the French capital. FUZI and his group UV (Ultra Violent) used the “double étages” and “trains gris” for fifteen years as work basis and image carrier, as their territory and mistress. “FUZI,” “RAP,” “SALO,” “KISS,” and “VOYOU” drip down the smooth grey surfaces of the functionalist architecture. The leather on the benches is slashed; the windows smashed.

This book is a collection of photographs created between 1996 and 2001, an archive of vandalism, a contemporary document of “brutal insouciance” accompanied by the artist’s poems and texts. It wasn’t just about slamming, hammering and smearing one’s name everywhere to become known, it was about leaving behind a trace, both in the space and in the heads of the passengers.

This required a rigid approach: employing the surveillance methods of the rail police (SUGE) and conductors, only with reverse circumstances. A routine that was synchronized with the gaps in train schedules and intervals between security checks; rhythmized by station stops and coach compartments; locating, painting over and photographing—maintaining the line. Within the rules and regulations of society, they created Temporary Autonomous Zones for themselves, in which they could briefly experience absolute freedom, expressed through an archaic “aestheticism of chaos.”
